- ASSE Internatinal Student Exchange Program - ASSE is seeking host families to share their homes with students from different countries. By sharing your home for just a school year or perhaps a shorter term, you will be giving a young person from another country the opportunity of a lifetime- to live with your family and experience the language, customs and culture of our country. You can choose from a list of students, and their hobbies and interests. You will read a letter the student has written along with some pictures of their friends and families. Once you have chosen a student and we have filled ouot some paperwork, then communication starts by emailing, perhaps just to get to know each other a little. Coming to Maine can be quite a culture shock so the student will have a little background. Some students enjoy sports and staying active, some students like to just hang out and join a couple of clubs,,the choice is yours. They bring along their own spending money and are fully insured. You just need to provide a bed and meals and a little care... Even if you don't have children of your own this will be a great experience. There is no cost to you to take in a student. Please give a student, a chance of a lifetime..For further information, please feel free to call me anytime. Contact: Cheree Conrad, 207-668-2251 W 207-668-2116 H
