LURC sets Plum Creek deadline

By JONATHAN PRATT - AUGUSTA, ME - The Land Use Regulation Commission (LURC) has set a deadline for public comments on the Plum Creek concept plan proposal. They will accept written statements by members of the public until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2008.

Staff recommendations have already been submitted in regards to the Commission's post-hearing schedule. The schedule calls for the Commission to endorse or amend draft deliberations and the posting of the report for a 30-day public comment period sometime in July or August, and a Commission decision on the Zoning Petition being scheduled for August/September of 2008.

Written comments may be sent to the Land Use Regulation Commission, 22 State House Station, Augusta, ME, 04333-0022. Members of the public wishing to submit testimony regarding the Plum Creek proposal may also send their statements via e-mail to LURC@maine.gov.
