Up North, The Moosehead Magazine debuts in May
Tuesday, May 03, 2005
GREENVILLE JCT.—KoPenTon, LLC, the publishers of the Moosehead Messenger, are excited to bring a new publication to our readers in May 2005.

Up North, the Moosehead Magazine will make it’s debut as a bi-monthly publication with full-color glossy pages featuring all the things you love about the Moosehead Lake region and northern Maine. In our very first issue you can read about Chief Henry Red Eagle, a remarkable Native American that traveled the world as an ambassador of this part of Maine. His prodigious writings and sparkling wit are legendary.

Also featured in the inaugural issue of Up North:

  • What’s a Pair-A-Dice? It’s the largest pleasure boat on Moosehead Lake, now in dry dock and under full restoration. This baby will be a sight to see when she is relaunched.
  • Keeping the “Green” in Greenville; do we really do all we can to recycle?
  • The art of Moose Poop Jewelry: it is fascinating how you can imagine a creature’s leftovers by turning them into something adorning.
  • See what the Chef d’Moose is cooking up in the Moosehead Junction Township kitchen ... Loon Burgers complimented with cuke boats. The staff loved them!
  • And what would this magazine be without some fantastic photographs of the native wildflowers, animals and birds that inhabit or travel through our area? Not much of anything.
We are fortunate to have these things right in our own backyard. And we look forward to bringing them to you through Up North the Mooshead Magazine..

The magazine has been more than a year in the making and we are hoping you find this to be informative, entertaining and worth keeping on your coffee table.

Available at Indian Hill Trading Post, Village Foodmart, and the Moosehead Messenger — all in Greenville — and at Bookland in Brunswick.
