Smith wins re-election in Greenville

GREENVILLE - Carroll Smith won re-election to the Greenville Board of Selectmen by winning a three-person race at the ballot on June 12.

Smith, who has served two terms on the board since first being elected in 2001, received 151 votes to beat out challengers Mildred Kennedy (115) and Dennis Welsh (66) for the three-year term.

Running unopposed and winning seats were Pete Johnson (school committee, three years), Noel Wohlforth (school committee, one year) and Earl Richardson Sr. (sanitary district).
