GREENVILLE - Community Appreciation Day is shaping up to be a day to remember for Greenville citizens, young and old.

Community Appreciation Day kicks off on Thursday, August 16, with the Variety Show at 7 p.m. at Oaks Auditorium, brought to you by the folks behind the Grapevine variety shows. All proceeds go to the Louis Oaks Auditorium Fund.

The remainder of the day-long event, set for Saturday, August 18, features a series of activities, including a townwide scavenger hunt, 1-4 p.m., sponsored by the Moosehead Historical Society; as well as a BBQ, music, and games near the Moosehead Marine Museum.
