Special Town Meeting
WARRANT
TO: Duane Alexander, Constable of the Town of Greenville, in the County of Piscataquis and in the State of Maine.

GREETINGS:

In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Greenville in said county and state, qualified by law to vote in Town affairs, to assemble at the Fireman's Hall of the Municipal Building in Greenville on Wednesday, the 28th day of November, 2001, at 6:30 PM to act on the following articles, to wit:

ARTICLE 1: To elect, by ballot, a moderator to preside at said meeting.

ARTICLE 2: Shall the adopt the recommended amendments to the Land Use Ordinance for the Town of Greenville (see attached amendments)?

Planning Board recommends approval.
Board of Selectmen recommend approval.

ARTICLE 3: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate an additional $8,000 from the Fire Department Apparatus Reserve Account for the purpose of purchasing a new fire truck ($50,000 was previously appropriated from this account; an additional $8,000 will allow the purchase of the desired truck following the same terms and conditions specified at the June 2001 Annual Town Meeting)?

Board of Selectmen recommend approval.

ARTICLE 4: To see if the Town will authorize the municipal officers to sell the 3.8 acre (+/-) Town-owned lot on Spruce Street (Map 7, Lot 12A) under the following terms and conditions:

  • owner to disclose development plans to the Board of Selectmen;
  • intended use to be "Industrial" in nature (as interpreted by the municipal officers);
  • building development must be complete within 12 months of purchase of lot;
  • no residential use of the lot?

Board of Selectmen recommend approval.
