Greenville Municipal Skating Rink to open Dec 30th
Tuesday, November 20, 2007
GREENVILLE - The Greenville municipal skating rink behind the Greenville High School is scheduled to open for the season on Sunday December 30 weather and ice conditions permitting. Skating will be available per the attached schedule. Schedules are also available at the town office. Signs will be posted indicating if the rink is open or closed. When monitors are on duty skates will be available for use at the rink.

Because of the past history of little to no use and financial considerations this year supervised skating will not be available after school Monday thru Friday. Supervised skating will be available Saturday, Sundays, holidays and school vacations from 12 noon until 5pm.

The first Family Skate Party will be held on Sunday December 30, 2007 and continue every Sunday thereafter through the skating season from 1pm to 5pm. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available. Music is also provided. Again weather and ice conditions will determine this activity.

If not sure on availability of the rink please call the town office at 695-2421 for current information. A phone message will be available when the town office is closed.

For more information call the Greenville Recreation Department at 695-2421.
