A little about The Gender Project...

Through its research, The Gender Project explores gender socialization, equity issues and how these dynamics identify what it means to be female and male in our society today. This same research reflects on issues surrounding domestic violence by demonstrating the connections between those who "own" the power and control in our society, and in turn, members of our society who are subjected to this dynamic. Ms. Fortune will also discuss the way our society reinforces specific traits within gender roles.
