As of July 1, 2002 the following rules are enforced:
New Landfill Stickers will be required to enter the landfill. You must fill out a brief application at the Town Office in your community to get the new blue sticker. Once you have the sticker, it must be adhered to your vehicle.

All cardboard, newspaper, mixed paper, tin cans, glass, milk jugs and #1 & #2 plastics will be prohibited at the landfill. These materials can be taken to the Greenville Recycling Center, which located 2.3 miles before the landfill in Moosehead Junction Twp. (See map on the back side of this paper).

All major appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, etc.) will be assessed a fee ($5 or $10 if Freon present) to be disposed at the landfill. This fee must be paid in advance at the Town Office: bring your receipt with your appliance to the landfill.

Curbside pickup of recyclables will commence in Greenville by mid-July. Recycling bins will be issued (one per household) also in mid-July.

All of these changes are being made to promote recycling and to increase the longevity of the landfill. Thank you for your consideration & cooperation. Please call with your questions.
